ASCT Foundation

Our Mission

The mission of the ASCT Foundation is to support and enhance special programs of the Society by funding awards, publications and other projects that promote the advancement of cytotechnology.

Who We Are

Established in 1998, the ASCT Foundation is a non-profit organization committed to supporting and enhancing the Society's initiatives. Incorporated with 501(c)(3) tax-exempt status, the Foundation creates opportunities for Society members, private individuals, corporations, and other stakeholders to make tax-deductible contributions. These contributions directly promote and improve the practice of cytology.

Our Goals

  • Encouraging Future Leaders: We inspire students to advance the field of cytotechnology by offering the Warren R. Lang Memorial Student Awards for outstanding scientific case presentations and complimentary student registration at ASCT annual conferences.

  • Recognizing Excellence: The Foundation honors the contributions of individual cytotechnologists with awards such as the Marion and Nelson Holmquist Cytotechnologist Achievement Award and the Allen Achievement in Writing Award.

  • Providing Resources: We sponsor special communications, publications, and educational resources for practicing cytotechnologists and students to ensure the profession continues to thrive.

Why Support the ASCT Foundation?

As the only organization governed exclusively by and for cytotechnologists, the ASCT is dedicated to providing accessible, affordable, and high-quality educational programs, materials, and resources.

We place a strong emphasis on supporting cytotechnology students, recognizing that investing in their education and development is crucial to the future of the profession. The ASCT Foundation is proud to be among the few organizations offering student subsidies to attend annual meetings and awards for their active involvement.

Your donation ensures the continuation of vital activities supported by the Foundation and enables the development of new programs to meet the evolving needs of our profession. Together, we can sustain our mission and advance cytotechnology for generations to come.
