Whether you've improved a laboratory workflow, implemented new technology, strengthened quality processes, or developed an educational initiative, we want to hear about your work!

Abstract Submission Deadline: January 15, 2027

Who Can Participate?

The Project Showcase is open to current ASCT members with at least three years of experience in the field of cytology.

Participants are invited to submit abstracts describing completed, ongoing, or recently launched projects. Projects do not need to be fully completed; however, submissions should demonstrate clear objectives, progress, findings, lessons learned, or anticipated impact.

What Can You Showcase?

We welcome projects addressing a wide range of topics, including but not limited to:

  • Research & Quality Improvement: Laboratory research, quality assurance (QA), quality control (QC), and process improvement initiatives.

  • Workflow & Personnel Innovations: Changes that improve laboratory efficiency, productivity, or personnel practices.

  • Emerging Technologies: Implementation or evaluation of new technologies and technology-enabled solutions.

  • Education & Training: Innovative approaches to professional development, education, and laboratory training.

  • Collaboration & Partnerships: Interdepartmental or organizational initiatives that improve laboratory practices or patient care.

  • Outcomes & Lessons Learned: Practical experiences, challenges, successes, and insights that may benefit others in the cytology community.

Presentation Opportunities & Awards

Accepted projects may be featured at the 2027 ASCT Annual Conference through one of three presentation formats:

  • Poster Presentation

  • Live Podium Presentation

  • Recorded Presentation

Submissions will be evaluated by a committee-designated panel of judges based on relevance, innovation, clarity, potential impact, and opportunities for knowledge sharing.

The top three presenters will receive cash prizes!

This is an opportunity to gain professional recognition, share your accomplishments with colleagues, and contribute to the advancement of cytology practice.
