Annual Meeting CommitteeHelp bring the ASCT Annual Conference to life.The Annual Meeting Committee helps plan and coordinate ASCT’s premier annual educational and networking event. Members contribute ideas for conference topics and speakers, help shape the attendee experience, and work with ASCT leadership to develop a high-quality program for cytology professionals and students. The committee also explores partnerships with local organizations and professional societies in the conference host area. Members monitor trends in cytology education, accreditation standards, competencies, and certification pathways while helping communicate educational resources to the ASCT community. The committee also supports the Student Interesting Case Competition held during the Annual Conference. Committee members help develop outreach strategies, support annual membership campaigns, reconnect with lapsed members, and strengthen engagement among students and early-career cytologists. Public Relations CommitteeHelp tell the story of cytology and ASCT. The Public Relations Committee promotes the value of cytology, strengthens ASCT’s public presence, and helps communicate with members, students, healthcare professionals, and the broader community. Members contribute ideas and content for ASCT’s website, social media, publications, outreach campaigns, and other communications while helping ensure the profession is represented accurately and professionally. Members help identify relevant topics, recruit speakers, review webinar proposals, assist with session development, and evaluate programs after they are presented. The committee works closely with the Executive Director and Education Committee to build an engaging webinar schedule throughout the year.
